Expect flapper girls, feather boas, the red-hot rhythms of the speakeasy, casino tables… and feathers. Did we mention feathers?

The Great Gatsby party is at city-centre hotels in London and Manchester with great transport links… so maybe leave the Rolls Royce Phantom at home. Or just stay put, relax and book a room at the 4-star hotel venue.

What to expect at the Great Gatsby party

As you make a grand entrance on the VIP red carpet, our flapper girls are there to greet you. Grab your complimentary glass of fizz, strike a pose for the photos, and preen those feathers.

It’s time to party like it’s 1922!

The doors open to an event space which rivals Jay Gatsby’s mansion. Golden decor, low lighting, twinkling chandeliers and luxurious Art Deco motifs.

Over a delicious 3-course dinner, our live singer performs modern classics… in 1920s style. Name that tune, anyone? And the 20s vintage vibe continues between courses as the flapper girls show off their best Charleston dance moves.

There are 2 flapper dancers at our parties. Just ask if you’d like to upgrade.

The drinks are flowing, dinner has been enjoyed… and the entertainment has only just begun.

The dance floor has now opened. The party band is on stage and it’s time to shake your tail feather. Take a break from the dancing at Gatsby-style casino tables, or get your bling on with professional glitter face painters.

And don’t forget to visit the photo booth. Those photos will remind you of the best Christmas party choice you’ve ever made.

Prefer a private dining room?

If you’d prefer a private dining room, there’s a selection of rooms suitable for the size of your group. They hold a minimum of 50 people and a maximum of 90 people

One thing to bear in mind… You’ll miss out on the entertainment over dinner.

The dress code

There’s no dress code because we want you to relax and have a good time. However, if you’re stuck for ideas, here are a few Gatsby-inspired suggestions:

For men:

Black tie is always a good option, especially with a pocket square (folded handkerchief). Alternatively, go for a dark jacket with cream-coloured smart trousers and a straw boater. And how about a side parting?

For women:

We’re talking glamour and elegance. Fringed, beaded and sequined flapper dresses  — black and dark red were popular 20s colours — long black gloves, jewelled and feathered headbands, long strings of pearls.

About the event

Is this a shared event?

Yes, although you have the option to book a private dining room. Depending on availability, there is a selection of rooms suitable for the size of your group.

  • London — A minimum of 50 people, maximum 90 people
  • Manchester — A minimum of [number] people, maximum [number] people

One thing to bear in mind… If you book a private dining room, you’ll miss out on the live music and flapper girl entertainment over dinner.

If we choose to dine in the shared event space, will we have our own table?

Yes, no matter the size of your guest list you’ll have your own tables. You won’t have to share the table with anyone outside your party group.

Are drinks included in the price?

Yes. You’ll be given a glass of Prosecco as you arrive, and there are bottles of wine on each table — enough for half a bottle each. You can purchase additional drinks at the bar on the night, or buy a wristband or redeemable token offer ahead of time.

  • £40 + VAT — 4½ hours of unlimited beer, wine or soft drinks
  • £18 + VAT — 3 standard tokens redeemable for beer, wine or soft drinks
  • £30 + VAT — 5 standard tokens redeemable for beer, wine or soft drinks
  • £24 + VAT — 3 premium tokens redeemable for spirits, beer, wine or soft drinks
  • £40 + VAT — 5 premium tokens redeemable for spirits, beer, wine or soft drinks

Is there a dress code?

No. We want you to have a good time, so you can wear whatever you want.

However…Most of our guests love getting dressed up for this event. We recommend formal attire with immense amounts of glamour, style and panache.

The menu

Will the hotel cater for different dietary requirements?

Yes they will. Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you a function sheet. Use this to let us know the names and dietary requirements of any guests. We’ll inform the chef so that each person is catered for appropriately.

The only exception to this is Kosher food. This cannot be prepared at the hotel, it comes via a separate caterer. Call us on 020 7183 3821 and we’ll talk you through it.

Booking and admin

How much is the deposit? And when is it due?

To secure your booking, we’ll need a deposit of £35 + VAT per guest. The balance will be due 6 weeks (42 days) before the event.

Can I add additional guests later?

We’ll be as flexible as possible. Please let us know about any changes before 3rd November and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. Provided there is availability, we can add to your booking — although please bear in mind, we can’t guarantee this.

If you want to add guests, contact us on 020 7183 3821 or email [email protected]. We’ll let you straight away if there’s availability. If there’s enough space for additional guests, full payment will be required in order to secure the booking.

What’s the minimum and maximum number of guests I can book for?

The minimum is 8 people. The maximum number for this event is 240. If you book for this number, you’ll have the entire event just for your organisation.

Is there an age requirement?

To comply with licensing laws, your guests will need to be over 18 years of age at the time of the event.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, although charges may apply. The Great Gatsby Christmas party is held in 2 city-centre locations — London and Manchester.  We’ve given you the parking details for both of them below:

  • London, Leonardo Royal Hotel, Tower Bridge — On-street metre parking is available outside the hotel. The nearest car park is Tower Hill car park, 50 Lower Thames Street. Phone 020 7283 1501 for the latest parking charges. For more parking locations, visit Parkopedia.
  • Manchester, The Midland Hotel — There are 2 NCP car parks, both a 3 minute walk from the hotel. You can also park at Q-Park, an 11 minute walk from the hotel on First Street. For more parking locations, visit Parkopedia.

Is there disabled access?

All our hotels have disabled access.

Is there a cloakroom? Will I be able to leave my suitcase there?

Yes, the cloakrooms at all our party locations are free. If you have larger luggage items, there’s a free concierge service. Leave your luggage with them and they’ll look after it securely while you’re at the event.

Can I stay at the hotel?

Yes, although you will need to arrange the booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to do this for you. We’ve provided a link to both the hotels below:
