Test your crime-solving skills over a delicious 3-course dinner and unlimited drinks. You’ll be in your own private dining room at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel, the luxury 4-star hotel in central Manchester.
A fully costumed detective quizzes the suspects between courses — and after dinner, you’ll try to guess whodunnit. You can choose to play one of the suspects — so who knows? The murderer could be you!
There are various dining rooms available. Please note we do require a minimum group size of 15 to book.
You have a choice of packages, each with different drinks options. Here are the details:
As you chat with your fellow guests over a complimentary glass of pre-dinner Prosecco, our fully-costumed detective enters your private dining room to break the dramatic news.
There’s been a murder! The killer is sitting at your table. Which one of you is responsible for this foul deed?
Dinner and all-inclusive drinks are served — and between courses, our detective questions the suspects. Listen out for clues. There’s a prize if you uncover the culprit. Over coffee, the murderer is finally revealed.
After dinner, you can either relax in your private dining room and celebrate your sleuthing skills with those all-inclusive drinks, or why not join our shared after-party which is packed with extra entertainment including a live party band, fun money casino tables and glitter face painters.
The 4-star party venue is the towering Manchester Deansgate Hotel, perfectly situated in the centre of Manchester. It has a gorgeous event space — one of the finest banqueting halls in the city.
The transport links are excellent too. Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop are just around the corner.
Or why not kick back, relax and book an overnight stay. The Manchester Deansgate offers 279 bedrooms plus a fitness centre and swimming pool.

Having said that, we love it when our guests dress up. If you’re a ‘suspect’, you’ll have received key info about your character ahead of time, so feel free to dress the part.
Everyone else, the `detectives’ can be undercover in party clothes, or you can go full Sherlock Holmes with a deerstalker hat, magnifying glass and classic suit.
Please note the shared after-party is at our James Bond Skyball shared Chrsitmas party, where many guests would have ‘dressed to impress’ so we’d suggest dressing up a little to not feel too out of place when you join the party.
Unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks are included in the ticket price.

Do you have any questions? We’ve answered some of the most common questions below. If yours isn’t there, don’t worry. Just call us on 020 7183 3821 and we’ll provide the answer.
Our murder mystery party is highly interactive. Everyone is involved in the story, even when they’re not playing one of the suspects.
An actor-led murder mystery dinner isn’t usually as interactive. You watch actors perform a murder mystery play but don’t play an active part.
The minimum number of guests for this event is 15. Beyond that, we can cater for groups of up to 70 guests. To find out which dining rooms are still available, and how many guests they hold, please call us on 020 7183 3821.
The suspects are volunteers from your guest list. They’re allocated 5 or 6 weeks before the event when our casting director will be in touch to talk you through the key suspects and ask about the guests who’ve volunteered to take part. The director will then match each volunteer to a character.
Once the suspects are assigned, we’ll send them a description of their character, and some key snippets of information
If guests don’t fancy being a suspect, that’s fine. There’s plenty of sleuthing fun to be had.
Ideally, we’d like between 10 and 15 people to volunteer as suspects. If that isn’t practical, try and recruit a minimum of 8 people.
They can if they want to, but it’s not necessary. They’ll need to be aware of the information they’ve been sent — for example, where their character was on a particular date — but it’s fine to have this written down as a reminder.
Guests who aren’t suspects will be assistant detectives. They’ll examine the clues, ask questions, take notes and work together to solve the mystery.
It’s both! The 3-course dinner and murder mystery entertainment takes place in your own private dining room.
After dinner, the private dining room remains yours for the rest of the evening, but you would also be invited to join the shared after-party to enjoy the rest of the evening.
