OK, back to the music. The Motown Christmas party features a breathtaking, live 6-piece Motown tribute band. The evening is a life-affirming celebration of classic hits which resonate across every generation.
Expect doo-wop vocals, funky backbeats and brilliant live performances of the greatest music ever written. Martha Reeves, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson…
Everyone knows the songs, and nobody can resist dancing to them.
The Motown Christmas Party is organised for you at top quality city-centre hotels in London and Manchester. There are excellent transport links — or just stay put, relax and book a room at the 4-star venue.

What to expect at the Motown themed Christmas party
Kick off your Motown Christmas with a VIP entrance on the red carpet. There’s a glass of Prosecco waiting for you.
You’ll have plenty of time for photos before the doors open to a spectacular Motown-themed event space. The band is on stage, and it’s time for the reason you’re here — fabulous music.
Here, check out the band. Clear a space. You’ll probably want to get up and dance.

Respect? Hell, yeah!
As you’re served a delicious 3-course dinner, the musical tempo is rolled back to mellow while the all-inclusive drinks and conversation flow.
Dinner has been enjoyed… and the evening has just begun. This is your chance to shine on the dance floor — and once on it, you’ll struggle to get off again.
If you can drag yourself away, check out the casino tables and try your luck at blackjack and roulette. Or you can visit the glitter bar where professional face painters will add extra sparkle to your evening.

The dress code
There’s no dress code. We want you to relax and have a good time.
Having said that, feel free to dress up. There’s plenty of choice. 1970s flared trousers, glam tuxedos, shimmering dresses, hippy chic or disco diva. Enjoy!

About the event
Is this a shared event?
Yes, the main party room is shared because it’s where all the music happens.
Will we have our own table?
Yes, no matter the size of your guest list you’ll have your own tables. You won’t have to share the table with anyone outside your party group.
Are drinks included in the price?
Yes. Unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks are included in the ticket price.
If you’d like to upgrade, you can purchase 5 premium drinks tokens for £25 + VAT per person. Each token is redeemable for a glass of prosecco or single spirits with or without mixers.
Is there a dress code?
No. We want you to have a good time, so you can wear whatever you want.
Come in black tie, or dress up in full 60s or 70s Motown style. You can even bring an inflatable guitar if you like.
The menu
Will the hotel cater for different dietary requirements?
Yes they will. Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you a function sheet. Use this to let us know the names and dietary requirements of any guests. We’ll inform the chef so that each person is catered for appropriately.
The only exception to this is Kosher food. This cannot be prepared at the hotel, it comes via a separate caterer. Call us on 020 7183 3821 and we’ll talk you through it.
Booking and admin
How much is the deposit? And when is it due?
To secure your booking, we’ll need a deposit of £45 + VAT per guest at the time of booking. The balance will be due 6 weeks (42 days) before the event.
Can I add additional guests later?
We’ll be as flexible as possible. Please let us know about any changes before 1st November and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. Provided there is availability, we can add to your booking — although please bear in mind, we can’t guarantee this.
If you want to add guests, contact us on 020 7183 3821 or email [email protected]. We’ll let you straight away if there’s availability. If there’s enough space for additional guests, full payment will be required in order to secure the booking.
What’s the minimum and maximum number of guests I can book for?
The minimum is 8 people. The maximum number depends on the venue.
Is there an age requirement?
To comply with licensing laws, your guests will need to be over 18 years of age at the time of the event.
The venue
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, although charges may apply. The Motown Christmas party is held in 2 city-centre locations — London and Manchester. We’ve given you the parking details for both of them below:
- London, Leonardo Royal Hotel, London City — There’s on-street parking near the hotel, although charges may apply. The nearest car park is Tower Hill car park, 50 Lower Thames Street. For more parking locations, visit Parkopedia.
- Manchester, The Midland Hotel — There are 2 NCP car parks, both a 3 minute walk from the hotel. You can also park at Q-Park, an 11 minute walk from the hotel on First Street. For more parking locations, visit Parkopedia.
Is there disabled access?
All our hotels have disabled access.
Is there a cloakroom? Will I be able to leave my suitcase there?
Yes, the cloakrooms at all our party locations are free. If you have larger luggage items, there’s a free concierge service. Leave your luggage with them and they’ll look after it securely while you’re at the event.
Can I stay at the hotel?
Yes, although you will need to arrange the booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to do this for you. We’ve provided links to the websites of the hotels below.
