A gala dinner is a formal evening event that typically includes a drinks reception, seated dinner, entertainment, and often speeches or awards. It’s used for corporate celebrations, fundraising events, and black-tie functions.
To plan a themed gala dinner, start by choosing a concept (such as Gatsby, Masquerade, or Hollywood), then align the venue styling, entertainment, dress code and menu around that theme. We handle all of this for you as part of our planning service.
Most gala dinners are black-tie events, so guests typically wear tuxedos or dinner jackets, and formal dresses or gowns. Some themed galas may encourage creative or vintage dress codes to suit the concept. Ultimately, this is your event though so the final dress code is up to you!
Costs vary depending on location, guest numbers, and entertainment, but a typical all-inclusive gala dinner package at a 4- or 5-star hotel starts from £100 – £150 per head. We’ll provide a bespoke quote based on your requirements.
We’ll need a deposit to secure your booking — in general, 50% of the total hire fee. We’ll need a further 25% of the total hire fee no later than 100 days before the event. The balance will be due 42 days before your event.
We’ll keep you posted on when all payments are due, and the actual amounts.
Yes – we’ll collect all dietary info ahead of time. Kosher meals may incur an extra charge due to specialist catering.
Most of our venues offer full disabled access, cloakrooms, and hotel facilities – just ask if you have specific needs.
